I ordered from earthbox.com thinking it would get here quickly, but the shipping ended up taking weeks. There weren’t many updates along the way either, so I was kind of left wondering what was going on. I’m glad it finally arrived, but the wait was really frustrating.

I ordered a couple of EarthBox kits and some extra supplies, and somehow what showed up was not what I actually picked. One item was missing completely, and another was the wrong color/size. Of course it happened right before the weekend I had set aside for planting, so the timing could not have been worse.

I emailed them with my order info and photos, but it took way too long to get a reply that actually helped. I get that mistakes happen, but this was frustrating and threw off my plans. The order accuracy was disappointing, and I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable ordering from them again

I had a hard time getting through the setup because the instructions felt unclear. Maybe someone more tech-savvy would figure it out faster, but for me the steps didn’t flow in a way that made sense, so I ended up feeling stuck quickly.

I actually like my EarthBox setup overall, and it’s worked well for what I need. The annoying part is trying to get replacement pieces. I’ll go looking for some tiny part, thinking it’ll be easy enough to grab, and then it’s either out of stock or not even listed anywhere. I mean, maybe I’m missing it, but after clicking around for a while it starts to feel like you’re just supposed to buy a whole new kit, which seems wasteful when all I need is one little piece. It’s just frustrating, especially because the product itself is solid.

I tried to return an item that showed up with a cracked box, and support just kept bouncing me around. The warranty sounded great when I bought it, but the second I actually needed help, it turned into a whole mess. Slow replies, no straight answers, and somehow I still ended up having to pay more. What a joke. Definitely not worth the hassle

I was hoping this would help cut down on water use, but it seems to use more than I expected. Maybe I had different expectations, but it just felt..

Whoever handled or packed this didn’t do a great job. The box showed up all smashed, the packaging was ripped open, and soil had spilled everywhere. It was a frustrating mess to deal with.

I emailed customer service twice and still haven’t gotten any kind of reply from anyone. I don’t mean I was expecting an instant response or anything, because I understand companies can be busy, but after sending one message and then following up with another, I figured I’d at least get some sort of acknowledgment. Even just a quick “we received your email” would’ve been fine. Instead, it’s been complete silence, which is frustrating when you’re trying to get help with something and don’t know if anyone has even seen your message.

I didn’t notice much of a difference. I’m still dealing with weeds popping up and bugs everywhere, so it didn’t really do what I was hoping it would.

I bought this thinking it would be the perfect fix for my small patio, but i think I gave it way too much credit. It ended up feeling a lot bulkier and more awkward than I expected, and once it’s filled, moving it around is a hassle I definitely didn’t plan for.

Maybe this is partly on me for assuming it would work in such a tight space, but it just didn’t fit the way I pictured it. I can see it being fine for a bigger area, but for my patio, it was disappointing.

It worked fine for a while and was definitely reusable. That said, it did start to wear out sooner than I hoped. Overall, it lasted okay enough for what it was

I was surprised by the price for what this is. It’s just basic plastic and doesn’t feel special or high-quality enough to justify the cost. Like, make it make sense. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I really wanted this to work, but the self-watering feature just didn’t do much for me. The soil stayed dry way more than I expected, so I still had to keep checking and watering it myself. If this doesn’t improve, I’ll probably look for a different option next time

Then after all that, I still didn’t get a clear confirmation email. I really can’t stand when automated systems make a simple order feel like a chore, and this was definitely one of those times. The setup was kind of a pain. The directions were confusing, and it took me way longer than it should’ve. Not gonna lie, I was a bit annoyed by the end.

I tried using the EarthBox for a couple of tomato plants and peppers, they did worse than the ones I had in regular pots nearby. The plants stayed small, the leaves looked kind of droopy and pale around the edges, and I only got a few tiny peppers and barely any tomatoes. Maybe I missed a step somewhere, but for the price, I was expecting a lot better results

I bought this for my garden at the start of the season, i was disappointed quickly. For the first week or two it seemed okay, but by around week three I noticed a crack starting to form. Not long after that, the lid began to warp and didn’t sit right anymore. The plastic feels cheap, especially for the price. I really expected it to last longer than a month or so...

I really wanted the earthbox to work out, but the soil just never seemed right to me. The top would feel super dry, but then when I checked lower down it seemed almost too wet, so I didn’t really know what the plants wanted. They looked stressed either way, which made me think the box was the problem, even though maybe I was doing something wrong too. I followed the setup as best I could, but it still felt inconsistent. I know other people seem to love these, but for me it was more frustrating than helpful and I don’t feel like it was worth the money.
